Sahkarmi

Terms of use

Sahkarmi is free, open-source software. You can use it, change it and share it under its open-source licence. This page sums up what that means for you.

Last updated: 26 October 2026.

Please note: These terms are a plain summary. They are not legal advice. The licence text in the repository is the binding document.

Licence

Sahkarmi is licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. Copyright 2026 Sahkarmi Team. The NOTICE file lists the attributions that must travel with the software, including the project Sahkarmi is partly derived from and the software and fonts bundled with it (for example OpenCode under the MIT License and fonts under the SIL Open Font License 1.1).

In plain words, the Apache License 2.0 lets you use Sahkarmi for any purpose, including at work, change it and share copies, free of charge. If you share Sahkarmi or a changed version, you must include the licence and the NOTICE file, and say which files you changed. The licence does not give you the right to use the Sahkarmi name or logo for your own product.

There is no price, no subscription and no Sahkarmi account. Contributions to the project are licensed under the same licence.

Provided "as is"

Sahkarmi is a development preview. It is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. The Sahkarmi Team does not promise that it will work without errors, that it is fit for a particular purpose, or that it will keep your data safe. To the extent the law allows, the Sahkarmi Team is not liable for any loss or damage from using it. The exact wording is in sections 7 and 8 of the licence.

Keep backups of anything important. Read the privacy policy to understand what the app stores and sends.

You are responsible for your AI coworkers

Sahkarmi coworkers are AI agents that act on your computer with your accounts. They can read and change files, run programs, use the internet and control the built-in browser. You decide what work to give them and what they may do on their own.

AI providers, websites and other services

Sahkarmi uses AI providers and services through your own accounts: for example OpenCode, Claude, ChatGPT (Codex), Google Antigravity and Gemini, Composio and Telegram. Your use of each one is covered by that provider's own terms, usage limits and prices, not by these terms. Paid plans are billed by those providers, not by Sahkarmi.

When a coworker uses a website, you must follow that website's terms, just as if you used it yourself. Some sites do not allow automated use. It is your job to check.

No affiliation, trademarks

Sahkarmi is an independent project by the Sahkarmi Team. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or any other AI company. Codex, ChatGPT, Claude, Google Antigravity, Gemini and other product names are named only to describe compatibility. All trademarks belong to their owners.

Changes

These terms may change when the project changes. The date at the top shows the last update, and the history of this page is on GitHub. The licence that came with your copy of Sahkarmi stays in force for that copy.
